2014 CABERNET SAUVIGNON |
2011 is a sleeper of a vintage. This is a "wine maker’s wine," for people who like traditional Cabernets. Classic old-school Napa style, almost Bordeaux-like, racy with sharp acidity and finesse. Supple tannins that add structure and weight without being too firm or abrupt. The earthy notes shine through with dark fruits, and savory undertones. This wine is drinking beautifully and is a steal for $55 a bottle.

Opulent yet balanced, with smooth tannins. Notes of black currant, plum, cedar box, sandalwood, with layers of dark chocolate. This is a multi-dimensional wine, with subtle fresh acidity. Many say 2013 is the vintage of a lifetime, super age-worthy. Can drink now or lay down in your cellar.

Very complex and vibrant nose, with bursts of dark fruit, opening to spicy layers of clove, cinnamon, cedar, and wood. The palate is round, fruit driven, with tart fruit and berries, then leading to a softer side of vanilla bean. Nicely developed tannins, with earthiness and texture complimenting the fruit. An approachable, balanced wine with great fluidity, everything coming together in perfect harmony.
